Nissan Maxima Service and Repair Manual: Rear window defogger and door mirror defogger do not operate
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SWITCH
Check rear window defogger switch.
2. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER RELAY
Check rear window defogger relay
3. CHECK FUSES
Check if any of the following fuses in fuse block (J/B) are blown.
4. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect fuse block (J/B).
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between fuse block (J/B) connector and ground.
5. CHECK REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check rear window defogger power supply and ground circuit
6. CHECK DOOR MIRROR DEFOGGER
Check door mirror defogger.
Rear window defogger does not operate but both of door
mirror defogger operate
