Nissan Maxima Service and Repair Manual: Seat memory switch

Description

Seat memory switch is installed to the front door LH trim. The operation signal is input to the driver seat control unit when the seat memory switch is operated.

Component Function Check

1. CHECK FUNCTION

  1. Select ""MEMORY SW 1", "MEMORY SW 2", "SET SW" in "DATA MONITOR" mode with CONSULT.
  2. Check seat memory switch signal under the following conditions.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH SIGNAL

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect driver seat control unit.
  3. Check voltage between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.

2. CHECK MEMORY SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Disconnect seat memory switch.
  2. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and seat memory switch harness connector.

Nissan Maxima.  CHECK MEMORY SWITCH CIRCUIT

  1. Check continuity between driver seat control unit harness connector and ground.

3. CHECK MEMORY SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between seat memory switch harness connector and ground.

4. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITC

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Component Inspection

1. CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
  2. Disconnect seat memory switch.
  3. Check continuity between seat memory switch terminals
