Nissan Maxima Service and Repair Manual: Vehicle security indicator

Description

  •  Vehicle security indicator is built in combination meter.

  •  NVIS (Nissan Vehicle Immobilizer System-NATS) and vehicle security system conditions are indicated by blink or illumination of vehicle security indicator.

Component Function Check

1.CHECK FUNCTION

  1.  Perform "THEFT IND" in the "ACTIVE TEST" mode with CONSULT.

  2.  Check vehicle security indicator operation.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK COMBINATION METER

Check combination meter. Refer to MWI-4, "Work Flow".

2.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

Refer to GI-41, "Intermittent Incident".
