Nissan Maxima Owners Manual: Seatback pockets
The seatback pockets are located on the back of the driver's and passenger's seats. The pockets can be used to store maps.
WARNING
To ensure proper operation of the passenger's NISSAN Advanced Air Bag System, please observe the following items:
- Do not allow a passenger in the rear seat to push or pull on the seatback pocket or head restraint/headrest.
- Do not place heavy loads heavier than 2.2 lbs. (1 kg) on the seatback, head restraint/headrest or in the seatback pocket.

Description
DTC B1065 - B1068, B1070 - B1073 PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULE
The passenger air bag module is dual stage and wired to the air bag diagnosis
sensor unit. The air bag diagnosissensor unit will monitor for opens and
shorts in detected lines to the passenger air bag module.

1.CHECK CONNECTOR
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
Check the terminals and connectors of the combination meter for
damage, bend and loose connection
