DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1.INSPECTION START
2.PRECONDITIONING
If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following before conducting the next test.
3.CHECK PNP SIGNAL
With CONSULT

4.PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
CAUTION: Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

5.PERFORM COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK
Perform component function check. Refer to EC-398, "Component Function Check".
NOTE: Use component function check to check the overall function of the park/neutral position (PNP) signal circuit.
During this check, a 1st trip DTC might not be confirmed.
Component Function Check
1.PERFORM COMPONENT FUNCTION CHECK

Diagnosis Procedure
1.CHECK DTC WITH TCM
2.CHECK PNP SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT-I

3.CHECK PNP SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN AND SHORT-II

4.DETECT MALFUNCTIONING PART
Check the following.
5.CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
P0643 sensor power supply
P1078, P1084 EVT control position sensorPower steering fluid
Check the fluid level in the reservoir.
The fluid level should be checked when the fluid
is cold at fluid temperatures of 32 to 86ºF (0 to
30ºC). The fluid level can be checked with the
level gauge which is attached to the cap. To
check the fluid level, remove the cap. The fluid ...
